We are guided by the principles of multiculturalism, respect for human dignity, and the pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals. Through strategic interventions and empowerment strategies, we aim to promote unity in diversity and support vulnerable groups in achieving sustainable livelihoods.
At Destiny Leaders’ Community Education and Development Services Inc., our participants receive hands-on training and support to integrate sustainability practices into their daily lives. Through their experiences and initiatives, they contribute to building sustainable communities and fostering replicable strategies for a better future.
Our Objects and Mission
- To effectively and efficiently undertake its objectives and mission the Agency, recognises that it operated in a global context of multiculturalism in which the peoples of this world share a common destiny as the human family which occupies a shared space called earth and the universe that surrounds it, despite cultural and heritage and religious diversity, The objective is to support empowerment strategies for seniors to embrace sustainability, while the Mission is to inspire seniors of all ethnicity to live sustainable lifestyles and to become leaders and agents of change in their communities; to build capacity of individuals and help manage social and economic challenges ;to mentor seniors’ citizens, liaise with the private sector, civil society, and government in implementing community development programs of benefit to seniors.
- To support humanitarian work and human dignity and self worth as a common inherent and inalienable right of all human beings, despite cultural, religious and heritage differences. For respect for human dignity is central to commit to work for a peaceful and harmonious world, in which we all are respected and given the opportunity to thrive and prosper.
- To be guided in its operations by Global commitment toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, The UN Declaration of the Decade of People of African Decent (2015- 2025) and the Canadian Diversity and Inclusion Agenda. The 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda is the new global framework to help eradicate poverty and achieve sustainable development by 2030. It includes an ambitious set of 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The 2030 Agenda is a universal agreement; its implementation will require action by all countries, developed and developing. It will be underpinned by a Global Partnership, mobilizing governments and stakeholders (citizens, civil society, private sector, academia, etc.), at all levels. The Agency considers of relevance in formulating the 2024-2027 - Sustainable Empowerment Agenda.
We Recognise The Importance of The Anti-Racism, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Agenda
We recognise the importance of the Anti-racism, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in agenda in the development of Strategic Intervention Measures to empower vulnerable and low-income target groups it serves within the multi-cultural landscape of Canada, through: –
- promoting, through technical capacity development, facilitated by mentoring, counselling coaching and technical training of, children, youth, young adults, seniors, parents and other professionals of diverse cultural heritage in support of the promotion of unity in diversity.
- supporting and training vulnerable youth, adults and seniors in economic, social and technological development and innovations through its vocational training incubators (for the Creative, Performing and Cultural Arts, Information and Communications Technology, Women Development Hub, Agro-entrepreneurship training, Construction and Building Trades and Operational Systems; Green and Clean Development Strategies; Digital Foundational Literacy; Climate adaptation planning for eco-friendly homes,
- being a leading agency promoting and facilitating personal, professional and business development training and advisory services provider of quality products and services to international standards that add value to community.
- being recognized as a dynamic, value-based agency supporting training and development of individuals and communities to thrive and prosper.
- being a leading financing support for vulnerable and poor communities and personnel to receive training, mentorship, counselling and coaching for skill enhancement through promoting the transfer of skills, new knowledge, technology and best practices for the benefit of the community.
- initiating, assisting and supporting the social, and economic development and empowerment and creative expressions of vulnerable youth, adults and seniors, through its incubator training, counseling, coaching, mentoring and technical, operational and advisory services, to fulfill the following objects:
- the provision of coaching and mentorship services for at risk youths’ youth and young adults in conflict with the law and needing restorative support and reintegration support. together with the maintenance of a coaching and counselling support network of industry experts; and
- the publication of an e-Newsletter for the purpose of public awareness building and the dissemination of educational information of the work of the Agency.
- supporting the economic empowerment of participating youth and young adults, women and seniors becoming economically self-sufficient by assisting them in establishing home – based enterprises and informal sector enterprises through training and mentoring workshops, capacity development and micro credit financing supported by sponsors’ financial contributions through:
the Agency’s commitment to the strengthening of community social relationships, restoration and rehabilitation.
an intergenerational approach that will raise public awareness of the importance of supporting youth and women’ entrepreneurial development so they can prosper.
a focus on social enterprise and socio-entrepreneurship training, to solve specific community social issues that the youth themselves will identify and can begin to take ownership for resolving self-development and vulnerability issues.
support for community social enterprise initiatives that encourage the youths creative, visual and performing arts to the extent that they can be celebrated, and their outputs monetized as viable community enterprises.
a focus on community-connectedness to secure reduced alienation and vulnerabilities among youths at risk.
provide community focused infrastructure and resources accessible to youth entrepreneurs with creative enterprising business ideas for business development.
micro–financing grants and small start-up loan facility for start-up enterprises, given the difficulty of navigating and sourcing funding from traditional financing sectors for the target demographic set, to be made possible through accessing funds from governments, other foundations and charities and both corporate and private philanthropic investors/sponsors.
